Philosophy and Approach

Everyone is different; a combination of their nature and life experiences. An Eclectic approach incorporating techniques from various psychotherapies, depending on the person and the reason they have sought help is utilized to provide service. The therapeutic interaction starts with an examination of the problem within the context of the individual’s current environment and history.

I engage in play therapy with children, because play is their language. I include self-esteem, problem-solving, Rational-Emotive Therapy, behavior modification and social skills activities as appropriate.

Work with adolescents and adults may also include these types of activities as well as cognitive behavior modification and “homework.”
